Chaos arranges itself
Into a routine.
Routine chaos.
Order scattered,
Alignment displaced.
Stark, still,
Effort is made to form a link.
Barren we begin,
Barren we eventually cease to be
As the spaces fill up with
Those things that stem from logical fashion.
Does it matter what we fill up the space with?
Probably not,
We link it all up in the end.
In the end, it stops illogical.
In the end, meaning is given.
Like a name bequeathed onto a new born child,
An earthly entry so arbitrary,
So needless,
So inconsequential,
Yet stuffed to the brim with Noun, verb, adjective,
Burdened and heavied by the weight of meaning.
In the end we strive to convey meaning was presented as part of T.H.E Dance Company 5th Anniversary Celebrations – Bedfellows (2013)
