Elusive—A Double Bill by T.H.E Dance Company

19 & 20 June 2026, 7:30pm
21 June 2026, 1pm & 5pm
Esplanade Theatre Studio

A highlight of this year's cont·act Dance Festival, Elusive brings together two distinctive choreographic voices—Panzetti/Ticconi (Italy/Germany) and Art Project BORA (South Korea)—in new creations made with the dance artists of T.H.E Dance Company. Each work unfolds from a precise line of inquiry, revealing different ways the body can hold memory, sensation, and time.

Following their 2024 collaboration with the company, Panzetti/Ticconi returns with CARILLON, inspired by the mechanics of the music box. Meticulous patterns revolve and gather force as cycles slip and falter—what happens when what reassures begins to destabilise?

In O:ro, Art Project BORA creates with T.H.E’s main company for the first time. Mourning travels through bodies as vibration—felt, heard, and borne. Sensations once lost begin to stir again.

Elusive is presented in collaboration with Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay. This production is also included in the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival 2026 – Closing Curtain, organised by Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF).

Pán《盤》by T.H.E Dance Company

6 & 7 November 2026, 7:30pm
Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre's Auditorium

Pán《盤》draws inspiration from the cultural roots of its creators, Kuik Swee Boon and Kim Jae Duk. The Chinese title, “盤”, is a word rich in meaning and found across several Asian languages and cultures.

At the heart of the work is the Chinese creation myth of Pangu, whose body transforms into the elements of nature—a metaphor for transculturation and the continuous convergence of cultures.

The performance unfolds through the distinct choreographic voices of Swee Boon and Jae Duk, before culminating in a collaborative epilogue. Featuring guest artists Tung Ka Wai and Wheelsmith (Danial Bawthan) alongside the dance artists of T.H.E, Pán《盤》continues to evolve with each iteration, inviting audiences to consider whether a shared positionality can be crafted for our contemporary world.

Originally conceived as a live performance, Pán《盤》premiered digitally in 2021 as a livestreamed production and was later presented as a ticketed video-on-demand programme at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it received the Best Performance award at the Asian Arts Awards.

Tickets available from 6 August 2026. This production is eligible for SG Culture Pass redemption. Use your credits to purchase tickets!
