T.H.E Mid-Year Intensive

Bearing an intensely physical, mesmerising movement signature, T.H.E’s works are rooted in HollowBody^TM — founding Artistic Director Kuik Swee Boon’s methodology that is the culmination of a lifetime of movement exploration and practice. The methodology seeks an alignment of the mind, body and heart, espousing the body as a vessel that can carry our thoughts, emotions and energy, with the ability to transcend language and logical communication.

HollowBody^TM also grounds the training and creative processes at T.H.E, so this three-day intensive is an intimate look at what goes on in T.H.E’s studio on the regular as you learn from T.H.E’s full-time dance artists, and Swee Boon himself. You will also get to learn an excerpt of the repertoire of Searching Blue, which premiered last December as a novel site-adaptive work that also toured to Penang, Malaysia, and Bandung and Jakarta, Indonesia.

T.H.E believes that all individuals have the innate ability and right to access these tools to foster empathy and dialogue, and has conducted HollowBody^TM workshops for participants from Singapore, Malaysia, Latvia, Poland, London, Italy, and more.
