UPDATE: The performance of Dance at Dusk on 29 June will now commence at 6PM instead of 6:30PM as earlier publicised so as to avoid loud sounds from the National Day Parade rehearsal happening in the vicinity

Perfect for both first-time and seasoned contemporary dance audiences — experience captivating moments of sensitivity and explosiveness at our annual free, family-friendly series Dance at Dusk!

Festival Director Kuik Swee Boon's (Singapore/Malaysia) Water Bloom unravels our intricate, convoluted relationship with nature through an excerpt of quiet strength and thrilling dynamism. First commissioned by and premiered at NUS Arts Festival 2009, this excerpt is performed by a fresh new cast from The Human Expression's Second Company.

The programme is paired with an excerpt of an upcoming new work by Klievert Jon Mendoza (Singapore/Philippines): Hawla, Filipino for cage, particularly that of a wild animal or beast. Hawla is set to premiere in full in 2025, so don't miss this rare sneak peek of the developing work!

This venue is wheelchair-accessible. For audiences who may require support to access the venue, please get in touch with us at festival@the-dancecompany.com.
