Sensation and Awareness Practice

Paula’s current artistic practice centres on the performance, expression, and embodiment of the subjective female experience, as well as the reflection on society’s gaze towards the female body and image. This class begins with stretches and stillness to bring out sensations of pain, pleasure, tension and ease through the different postures and positions. Then, introspective exercises awaken the body’s imagination and perception while exploring the presentation of the body and bearing the gaze of the spectator.
