Liu received her ballet training at the Beijing Dance Academy. Following this, she joined the Singapore Dance Theatre where she danced for nine years.
Notable choreographers she has worked with during her time in the Singapore Dance Theatre include Stanton Welch, Marie Claude Pietragalla and Johnny Eliasen. Works she has performed in range from classical ballets such as Giselle and Swan Lake to contemporary works such as Concerto Barocco, Serenade and Pellucid. Liu joined T.H.E Dance Company as a full-time dancer in July 2010. Since then she has performed in The Man In The Centre and toured Paris and Dubai in November 2010 performing O Sounds. December 2010 saw her performing at Contact 2010, the inaugural annual dance intensive organised by T.H.E Dance Company in partnership with the National Arts Council and National University of Singapore Centre For the Arts. |
