Jae Duk KIM (Associate Choreographer)

Kim’s works have been described by certain critics as among some of the most attention grabbing, refreshing and innovative. As an artist, he grasps the essence of Korean tradition and delivers it in a way that is easily understood by a contemporary audience. His most acclaimed work to date, Darkness Poomba has received recognition in both Japan and Korea.

Kim’s own company, Modern Table bases itself on interdisciplinary performance that attempts to transgress the borders between traditional genres of dance and music. His other works include Joker’s Blues, Awake and Clocker.

Kim choreographed Bohemian Parody for T.H.E Dance Company last year during Contact 2010 and he has been appointed as the Associate Choreographer of T.H.E Dance Company in August 2011.
