Choreographer Zhang is also currently an Associate Professor at Taipei National University of Fine Arts department. He was born in Cambodia, educated in Jinan University where he graduated from the History Department, before moving to Australia in 1983 where he enrolled in the Center for the Performing Artsin South Australia majoring in modern dance.Zhang was formerly a principal dancer of The One Extra Dance Company, Vis-a-Vis Dance Canberra and Australia Dance Theater. In 1989, he was nominated ‘Best Male Dancer‘ in Australia. He has performed, choreographed and taught in Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, China and Hong Kong. |
