M1 CONTACT

Billed for its bold curation, residency programmes, commissioning of local and international works across its several platforms, as well as a smorgasbord of workshops and technique classes, the annual M1 CONTACT Contemporary Dance Festival (CONTACT), presented by The Human Expression (T.H.E) Dance Company, is led by Festival Director and Artistic Director of T.H.E, Kuik Swee Boon. Since it began in 2010, CONTACT has become a pillar event for the contemporary dance scene in Singapore that benefits the local community. It has also grown to be a prominent contemporary dance festival in the region, establishing partnerships with other festivals such as Yokohama Dance Collection and Fukuoka Dance Fringe Festival in Japan, and Seoul Dance Collection and New Dance for Asia - NDA International Festival in South Korea.

T.H.E Dance Company is supported by the National Arts Council under the Major Company Scheme for the period from 1 April 2017 to 31 March 2020.
